I didn't get to blog last night because we had our weekly Family Home Evening. Scott read to us from The Christmas Carol. He even did the voices really well. I used to be the read-aloud queen, but now Scott has really gotten into it.
We also made our graham cracker houses, which turned out well. But they were really hard to put together because the royal icing I made was too thin. I'd put up some pictures, but I have to re-install a program first -- I'm not in the mood, but maybe someday before Christmas.
I enjoyed my appointment with Dr. S. yesterday -- I always do. He's a wonderful psychiatrist. I always leave there happy. He's fun to talk to, but at $100 for 30 minutes, he should be, huh? So I'm now sane enough to make it for 7 more weeks until my next visit. Seriously though, I came away from there with some new ideas. Not stuff he told me to do or think, but stuff I'm now thinking about. He's quite a miracle-worker. I know I need to do more positive thinking -- I tend to assume people think the worst of me, and I also need to take more personal responsibility for how I'm feeling.
Anyway -- on to another topic: After my appointment yesterday I met Scott and we went and got lunch (me: Subway Red Wine Vinaigrette Club, Scott: Wendy's double cheeseburger). We went to the park and listened to Rush. I got vinaigrette sauce all over my shirt. :P Then I did some grocery shopping -- with a funky vinegar smell. But hey, when you live a 30 minute drive from town, you're not going to go change the shirt.
Oh yeah, Scott brought home our tree last night. The kids have started decorating it today -- although it's now leaning really badly to one side, LOL. They're taking a break now and watching Pirates of the Caribbean. Scott bought the DVD yesterday, along with the extended version of The Two Towers. Yeah!
Well, I'm boring myself now. TTYL...
