drowning at 2 feet sea

drowning at 2 feet sea level: Lines of continuity

This is a really good blog by pamibe. My ideas about aging have changed since I was younger, too. I used to dread it or wish it away. Now that I'm old enough to be scared of the woman looking back at me in the mirror, I do accept the wrinkles with a pretty good attitude, although it has taken some adjustment. I try to be proud that I earned the wrinkles and the gray hair. But now that I have to use "Oil of Old Lady", I wish I didn't still need the acne cream too.

My mother looks exceptionally great for her age. This could really bother me, but I'm happy to be looking more like her sister instead of being jealous. I'm glad that she's healthy, because I want her to stick around as long as possible. She is my hero.
