I know it's taken
I know it's taken me a few days to comment on Rush's situation, but I wanted to have a chance to really think about how I can express my love and respect for him. To me, he is one of the greatest and most influential Americans past or present. He has made a big difference in my life, and has had a great influence on the person I've become. I feel I have learned so much that I would never have cared about or understood about our government, leaders and politics without his show. And while it is unfortunate that he has struggled with this addiction to prescription pain relievers, it doesn't change my opinion of him. He doesn't have to be perfect to gain my respect. No one can meet such high standards. Rush is human, just like the rest of us. But he's also a very intelligent, honest and good human. I stand behind him 100%.
