As a mom, you can learn to really maximize your con artist ability with flattery and bribery. I'm semi-serious. I got Ian up this morning and asked him to wash Obi (who is still sick) and I would give him a Coke. He asked if he could go back to bed after that, and I said "sure," knowing that he will most likely be wide awake after that. I also told him how much I appreciated him, because there was no way I could ask Charity or Christopher to do it. Christopher couldn't do it-- it would be me doing it, which was what I was trying to avoid. Charity wouldn't do it with a good attitude before about noon, and I would suffer her wrath for the rest of the day. (bad mood, pouting, fighting with her brothers)
Scott was nice and hosed out Obi's crate this morning. You know, from now on I'm going to say "kennel" instead of "crate," because that's what I call the stupid thing. Anyway, Scott washed out the kennel. I really thanked him for that. As he left the house, I told him to have a good day at school, LOL. He had a large stack of Ian's books under his arm to return, and he's going to the superintendant's office today. Yay!
