I didn't really write anything about my day yesterday, but it ended at 2 a.m. this morning, so I wasn't going to stay up any longer writing about it. I stayed up that late making posters for the upcoming Ward un-Talent Show and Harvest Dinner. They turned out really good. I used a lot of fun fonts and clip art. Anyway, it was a long story why it took until 2 a.m., but I'll get to that. Murphy's Law was in full effect. And it carried over into today when I stayed home because my gall bladder was hurting, and I sent the posters with my family, and no one remembered to bring them in and give them to Sis. Jevons or set them up in the foyers. So, I was more than a little unhappy about that. I was mad at Scott and the kids for about 5 minutes, said a little prayer to myself, and got over it since it was pointless to be mad, and Scott did help me alot with getting the stuff for the posters, even going in to Wal-Mart at 11:30 p.m. last night. Being mad also wasn't going to make the posters go back in time and get set up. But it was pretty important since next Sunday is General Conference, so not as many people will see the posters then, so that just leaves one more Sunday for people to see my fantastic posters (LOL). Scott took them tonight for the fireside, and said he would set them up. We'll see...
Scott and I sort of went on a date last night. I say sort of because most of it was work. But we did go out to Brangus, which is one of our favorite restaurants. I don't care for the music they play (country), but the atmosphere is really homey and comfortable and there are a lot of old and funny things to look at and read on the walls. You get to eat all the peanuts you want until the food comes, and you just throw the shells on the floor. The glasses are wide mouth quart jars, so you don't need a refill for a long time (if at all). The people who run the restaurant are really nice, and of course, the food is really good too. Not exactly "classy," but I feel really relaxed there, and Scott and I never feel rushed. It feels private enough that you can have a good conversation.
Afterwards we went by Scott's office to try to use the projector to trace off the posters, but it wasn't detailed enough, so we took home some printer paper since I was completely out at home (or I thought we did!) so I could just print and cut out the words and pictures. Then we went grocery shopping, which was pretty exhausting. We were both tired and they converstion waned on the way home. I was pretty mad at myself when I got home and realized that I had somehow NOT brought home the printer paper. I struggled with trying to freehand the posters for awhile, but Scott volunteered to go buy paper. He really is a good guy.
Scott is taking the week off this week which should be very nice. Although I imagine I'll be busier with other things, and I may not write as much. But I want to if I can, because it is so fun for me to keep this weblog. I don't want to get back out of the habit of writing daily. It's something I really look forward to.
