Blathering on...

I spent too much time playing Big Fish Games today -- mostly Shape Shifter -- very addictive.

I went to a party for President Bush tonight at a friend's house. Anyone else out there go to one? Supposedly, there were 6,925 of them around the country. Anyway, it was fun. I enjoyed the conference call -- as much of it as I could hear. Anyway, I left with a really positive feeling about the election. Now that I'm back to blogging, I really need to get back on the ball with Wictory Wednesday again.

I conned the kids into helping me clean the house this afternoon before Scott came home by suggesting that we could trick thier father into believing that we had worked hard. ;) We just cleaned during King of the Hill and the Simpsons during commercials and got a lot done. It was so much faster, easier and less frustrating with their help than cleaning around them. Not to mention with their investment of time into cleaning, it didn't get too messed up while we were gone tonight. Now I just have to figure out how to get the two boys (12 and 10) to do their school work (homeschool).

Brother Stevens is going to be transferred down to Little Rock and have surgery on Tuesday. I'm glad he decided to do that. Before his second hospital stay, I guess he had decided to just go home and die, but now that he's back, he's willing to see it they can remove the cancer that's around his liver. I sure hope it goes well for him. I know he couldn't feel much worse than he does now.

Tomorrow I'm going to put foil on the top half of every west-facing window (over half the house) because it just gets too hot in here every afternoon. I hate living in a cave, but I'd rather live in the dark than be as hot as it's been the last few days.

Anyway, I have very little else to say tonight except how glad I am to be blogging again. I think I compare my dull little life to others' lives too much. I may not have an exciting life, but it is my life, and therefore it does have some meaning -- at least to me, LOL. I love blogs, and admire those who write often and share themselves with others. Thank you my bloggy friends! :)
