I took the day off from my computer completely yesterday, following Pam's example. It was a nice change, and I was able to take a long nap and finish reading a book. I also watched a movie last night.
Christopher's hamster used it's last life yesterday morning. The cats finally killed it. :( It was sad, but the poor thing had quite a life in a house with cats. I think this was at least the 4th time they had actually caught the poor thing. Our hamster/gerbil days are over now until we have no more indoor cats.
Brother Stevens is dying. Last week he was sent to Memphis for surgery to remove cancer, but when he got there the (better) doctors in Memphis could see that there is nothing left of his liver. The really sad thing is that he's still in Memphis as far as I know. So he's alone and dying in Memphis. He is supposed to be sent back here, but so far it hasn't happened. I hope he makes it back here. It would be sad if he dies all alone in Memphis where he doesn't know anyone.
I have to go get shrink-wrapped today. After that I should be safe to unleash on the population for another 2 or 3 months. But seriously, I love my doctor. It's like visiting a friend . Too bad it costs $100 every time I talk to him, but he's worth it.
