My joy

My Christopher
It was my baby's birthday yesterday, and he is 10! I realized yesterday that he is halfway to 20 -- not a happy thought for me to have about my youngest child. He is truly my joy. There is some really special unexplainable connection between us. It's like we've known each other an eternity. I know it sounds kinda crazy, but that's how I feel about him.

I hope he had a good birthday, because being the youngest of 5 kids means that there are hardly any baby pictures, you hardly earn any stuff in cub scouts, and your birthday planning is nothing elaborate at all. Mom and dad have burned out.

He got his (unwrapped) present early. It was a cool remote control plane (that is already broken now -- sad). We took him out last night to Taco Bell, and picked up his friend to go to the movies. Garfield was the movie that he had planned for weeks to see on his birthday, but it was no longer playing. He was okay about seeing Spiderman 2. We invited his friend to spend the night -- only because I really love Christopher. ;) I've been ready to take his friend home since last night, LOL. His big sisters decorated the house while we were gone and made and decorated a cake for him. Yeah, I guess it was a good day for him. We have been really blessed with a good-natured, happy youngest son. He's always been extremely cute, snuggly, and extremely low maintanence. The kid sleeps! voluntarily! ;)

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try to remember to show him your comments. He'll enjoy that. He was happy that I had put his picture up and wrote about his birthday.
