Girlie Men

Wictory Wednesday

Since Arnold brought it up, I thought I'd talk about "girlie men" too. I can think of two candidates in this election that would qualify as girlie men, at least in these photos.

They look like they're going to kiss at any moment. I can only view this from my own opinion, but I theorize that most Americans don't want to see this kind of PDA from two men. I feel secure in my belief that Bush and Cheney are not going to do this.

I don't know whether to be more disgusted about how the pictures look, or about how staged it probably is to get the gay/lesbian vote. But then everything John Kerry does is staged. No matter how many photos I see of him doing "manly things" -- riding bikes, skiing, hunting, diving, bowling (as if!), he always looks impeccably dressed with no hair out of place. That's not real life or real men. Real men don't get thousand dollar haircuts and get their nails manicured. It's pretty obvious to me that his looks and his photo-ops mean more to him than anything else. He doesn't really have a plan for this country. He isn't serious about anything except himself.

You know what? I'm going to have faith in the American people -- that enough of them will see what I see. After all, I doubt that many people enjoyed looking at this four years ago either:

Now I've completely spoiled your appetite. Sorry, this photo should be in a lock-box!

That was funny. I also thought it looked like they were going to kiss (though even that would have been less horrific than the picture of the Gores going at it).

Last week Jay Leno said, "Kerry and Edwards are continuing their Hands Across Each Other tour ..."

Thank you, Steve. ;) I don't know, I think it would have been a tough call on which was worse.

LOL, Bryk -- that sounds about right!
